The Office of the Arts has launched a new Distinguished Visitor in the Arts/Humanities program, which will invite leading artists and humanists to the University each year for immersive, multi-day visits with faculty, students, staff, and the broader community.
During the 2026 – 2027 academic year, Johns Hopkins will host historian David Nirenberg and artist and architect Maya Lin as its inaugural Distinguished Visitors. These visits, which coincide with the university’s celebration of its 150th anniversary, offer a unique opportunity to reflect on the role of the arts and humanities in academic life and society.
