Johns Hopkins has a long record of achievement in the arts, yet until recently, the university lacked a comprehensive vision to guide these efforts.
Commissioned in spring 2024, the Taskforce on the Arts was charged with developing such a vision. In September 2025, The Taskforce released its final report, which serves as a guide for creating a more intentional and meaningful arts landscape at the University.
To carry forward this work, Johns Hopkins established the Office of the Arts, which serves as a central resource that empowers new initiatives, making the arts a more central part of academic life, student experience, and community engagement.
